2. Blinds or Draperies?
Blinds are more practical / Functional with many operating versions.
(Top down bottom up for example ).
Blinds are more economic.
Blinds normally don’t cover up the nice trim work.
3. How do I clean my Blinds?
Most blinds have a dust repellent on the surface that helps keep dust from sticking.
So for most blinds a light vacuum of a feather duster.
After years of been in the home, blinds can be sent out for professional cleaning.
Talk to Paul for details.

During that free in home consultation we can talk about the many control options for raising and lowering the blinds. For example cordless or motorization (Hey Google blinds up !)
So if you are into the home automation say “hey Paul what are my options ?“.
5. What Warranty options are there?
The warranties get a little detailed but this is how it looks to me.
Hunter Douglas 7 yrs. 5 yrs on Motorization
Shade O Matic 5 yrs and 5 yrs on Motorization
Graber 3 yrs
I can always break this down a little better but that’s the overview.
Lifetime Guarantees on them all, but the real deal is in the details.
6. What are the most insulating blinds?
Honeycomb Blinds and shutters are the best insulators.
They both have a hollow inner core that slows heat transfer in the summer and in the winter.
Ideal for Southern exposures or draughty windows. Save energy with one of these two products.
There is a fantastic range of colours and fabrics for the honeycombs.
(call Paul for the samples )
7. What are Shutters made from?
Shutters can be made from Aluminium, Wood or Vinyl.
Vinyl is the most popular as it never needs to be done again.
Plus it is the most economical with 20 yrs plus warranties.
8. Have you something to knock down the suns glare and harmful UV rays (Radiation)?
Glad you asked. We have a huge selection of sunscreen fabrics designed to knock the glare down and block the UV Rays. These products are used in many coffee shops, Medical centres and offices. But there are Sun Screens designed more for residential settings.
The UV will damage your floors and furniture no matter how good the glass in the windows is So if you are facing the sun for any length of time this is a great product.
Ask Paul for details.
8. Do you sell awnings?
Yes, I do. We have a few good companies that we deal with to get a selection of fabrics and styles. I like to sell awnings that last. So an awning with a 10 yr fabric warranty is what I am looking to sell most of the time. Do it once and do it right. It can be a big investment so we
Get it right the first time.
Again we have Motorized or manual transmissions. With wind sensors where needed.
Awnings are like an extension of your home. Creating a comfortable safe surrounding for you and your family to dine outdoors.
No more chasing that umbrella or fighting for the seat out of the sun.
Best time to order awnings is in March or April. To have them here for the summer.
